At Millbrook the quality of our staff is as important as the quality of the products we sell.
Millbrook staff are the front line contact with our customers and we pride ourselves in being a company employing friendly, knowledgeable and well-trained people. As recognition of our commitment to our staff, their training and development, we were awarded Investor in People status in 2006.
We currently employ approximately 150 staff and offer a wide variety of full, part time and weekend opportunities:
At the start of Spring we often have short term seasonal positions. If you decide to join Millbrook you will be given a clear job description and will receive a thorough induction to the company and your new role within it. You will also have an annual appraisal where you will be given the opportunity to discuss your progress, future objectives and training needs with your manager. This will then be followed up with a review meeting six months later to check that progress has been made and any needs have been addressed.
At Millbrook our employment policies for recruitment, selection, training and promotion are designed to ensure that no applicant or employee receives less favourable treatment or is unlawfully or unfairly discriminated against on the grounds of race, colour, ethnic or national origin, religious or political belief, disability, gender, age, sexual orientation or marital status.
We believe that all our staff have the potential to grow and develop. Whether you are part or full time you will have equal opportunity for training and promotion, selection for which will be based on your ability and aptitude and the current needs of the company in relation to its business plan.
If current opportunities we are advertising are not for you but you are interested in a career in horticulture we would be delighted to hear from you.
Please send your CV to Tracey Bowler, The Millbrook Garden Company, Tubwell Lane, Crowboriough, East Sussex TN6 3RJ or email tracey@millbrookgc.co.uk.
We look forward to hearing from you.
