What an achievement!
More than 300 guests gathered at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London saw our very own Sue Allen presented with a Lifetime Achievement Award at the Garden Retail Awards at the beginning of November.
It really was the icing on the cake for everyone at Millbrook as this year has also seen us celebrating being in business for 30 years.
In presenting Sue with the award the judges said “ We unanimously chose Sue Allen as the Lifetime Achievement Award Winner for 2009 because of her enormous contribution to the garden centre industry. With Sue's retirement as MD at Millbrook, the time was right to honour her.”
Although now “ retired” Sue isn't letting the grass grow under her feet.
“ I am looking forward to helping out on the shop floor now and again – it's something I really enjoy doing and I am going to be busy as President of the International Garden Centre Association with our congress next year in Japan,” says Sue.
