Christmas themes 2018

Trees on trees! That's one of the elements making up one of four key Christmas decoration themes this year at Millbrook! A visual feast of velvet roses, mercuried icicles, copper pomegranates, shiny butterflies and an array of dazzling decorations awaits you. This year, along with our amazing visual merchandiser, our Christmas buyer (yes, we're so excited about Christmas we have a year-round Christmas buyer!) has four key decorative themes: Christmas BerryFir Tree, Velvet Rose and Winter Grass. Choose your favourite theme and then select the corresponding decorations from the display, or create your own unique mix of one, two or all four!

Theme 1: Christmas Berry

Christmas red, emerald green and bright white all mix beautifully together to reveal a modern family theme.

Christmas Berry - Get the look!

1. Use gift bags on the lower third of your tree.
2. Fill with soft toys to delight the youngsters in the family.
3. Wrap a 'Merry Christmas' garland message round the tree for all to see and enjoy at this time.

Theme 2: Fir Tree

Create this simple and stylish theme using deep forest green and gentle lichen tones with wool white, frosty silver and hints of ginger to give a Nordic and natural feel.

Fir Tree - Get the look!

1. Add soft gold highlights deep into the tree to give a real touch of luxury.
2. Place groups of small fir trees through the front of the tree to make a stunning focal point.
3. Bring floristry pieces to the outer edges of the branches to soften the effect of the tree.

  Fir Tree - Key items:

Theme 3: Velvet Rose

To create this lavish but traditional look you will need to have plenty of floristry and bows to fill the gaps between the stunning baubles and decorations. Colours are rich and sumptuous, mixing burgundy, fig, soft pink, dark green and rich gold together.

Velvet Rose - Get the look!

1. Place baubles in groups of colour throughout the tree.
2. Zig-zag garlands from top to bottom of the tree for good coverage.
3. Fill gaps between baubles with perfectly-formed bows and flower heads..

  Velvet Rose - Key items:

Garland lights, £29.99
Glitter peacock fern spray, £1.99
