The following relates to the Garden Centre Assistant vacancies:

Closing date: Sunday 2nd February 2020

Interviews will take place at a Recruitment Evening on Monday 10th February 2020 running from 5 pm to 7:30 pm.  All applicants must be able to attend.

Following the Recruitment Evening all successful applicants must be able to attend our Company Induction on Saturday 7th March 2020 from 9 am to 5 pm.

Following recruitment all applicants must be able to attend ‘Make the Sale’ training on Monday 23rd March 2020 from 5 pm to 7:30 pm.

 

Garden Centre Assistant

We have an exciting opportunity for a Garden Centre Assistant to join us on a part time basis.  You will be part of a team responsible for delivering exceptional service to our customers.  Working primarily in the store you will merchandise stock, assist our customers and operate a till.

Hours of work:

15 hours weekly working every Friday and Saturday 8:50 am to 5 pm inclusive of a 45 minute unpaid break

Skills: This is a physically demanding role, you will be on your feet throughout your shift, moving stock and assisting customers.  In addition, the successful applicant will:

  • Preferably have experience of working in a similar role within a retail environment
  • Confident customer service skills with a commitment to delivering exceptional service at all times
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A flexible and proactive approach with a willingness to take responsibility and ownership

Seasonal Weekend Garden Centre Assistants

We have an exciting opportunity for two Garden Centre Assistants to join us at the weekend on a seasonal basis.  You will be part of a team responsible for delivering exceptional service to our customers.  Working primarily in the store you will merchandise stock, assist our customers and operate a till.

Hours of work:

The following seasonal positions are available from Sunday 8th March to 31st July 2020:

Working 5.5 hours every Sunday from 10 am to 4 pm inclusive of a 30 minute unpaid break

Catering Manager

We have an opportunity for a Catering Manager to join our Restaurant which is a very popular destination within the Garden Centre. The successful applicant will oversee the day to day smooth and efficient running of the Restaurant in a way that exceeds the expectations of our customers and delivers the agreed sales targets.

Hours of work: an average of 42 hours weekly to include alternate weekends

Skills and Experience: The successful applicant will:

  • Have experience of working in a similar role within a busy professional catering environment
  • Be an experienced people manager who can motivate and lead a team to deliver food and services that exceed the expectations of our customers
  • Have a flair for producing food to a high standard
  • Confident customer service skills with a commitment to delivering exceptional service at all times
