Millbrook Garden Centre, Gravesend opened in March 1994

Located just minutes from the busy A2, right next door to the Pepper Hill Recycling Depot at Southfleet on the outskirts of Gravesend town centre, Millbrook is only 10 minutes from the Bluewater shopping centre.

The centre has all you need to help you grow your garden, plus a great range of giftware, home furnishings and clothing as well as furniture and BBQs and of course our friendly, knowledgeable staff are always on hand to give you help and advice.

You will find ample free parking at Millbrook Gravesend and our new restaurant, The Mill, with free Wi-Fi access is a popular destination for hot and cold drinks and treats as well as tasty breakfasts and lunches. Please click here to view our Access Statement.

Our Millbrook Growers talks offer hints and tips to get your garden growing; perfect for putting into practice when you get home. Tickets cost £7.50 and include refreshments.

As the growing season begins, Caroline will share with you the wonders of a seed and the promise it holds, look into germination and how to break dormancy, explain techniques for sowing and provide you with the knowledge and understanding to enable successful results in seed sowing.  

Clematis for the Year-Round Garden with Kevin Tooher - Thursday 2nd April, 10.30am

RHS lecturer Kevin Tooher, returns to Millbrook with an illustrated talk on one of gardeners most popular plants, the clematis. Kevin will show you how to plant, prune and generally get the best out of these beautiful plants both in pots and in the ground.

Environmentally-Friendly Pest Control with Ian Bedford - Thursday 7th May, 10.30am​

Over recent years a rapid decline in insect numbers has been occurring, particularly with important pollinators such as bees and bumblebees.  Leading entomologist, Ian Bedford, returns to Millbrook to explain how anyone who has a garden, patio pots, or even a window box, could help the environment by providing suitable plants for the wildlife and by controlling plant pests in ways that do not harm the beneficial wildlife. 

Perfect Partners for Roses with Neil Miller - Thursday 4th June, 10.30am

Hever Castle's head gardener, Neil Miller, will present an illustrated talk on roses. Neil will teach you how to get the best out of your roses, suggest perfect partners for these beautiful blooms and how he manages to present over 4000 roses at Hever Castle to the highest possible standard!

Millbrook Minis - Wild Week!

Monday 17th to Friday 21st February

Go Wild this Winter at our Millbrook Minis Wild Week! We've got interactive sessions led by Sky Birds of Prey and Our Amazing Animal World plus our popular make-and-take workshops! 

Monday 17th February - Sky Birds of Prey Meet and Greet (10am, 11.15am, 12.30pm and 2pm)

Meet and greet with a selection of birds, talk and plus an owl sand art keyring craft activity. Session lasts 45 minutes.

Tuesday 18th February - Our Amazing Animal World (10am, 11am, 12pm and 1pm)

Meet and greet with a selection of rescued animals, talk and animal tattoo. Session lasts 45 minutes.

Wednesday 19th February - Hedgehog Make-and-Take Workshops (10am, 12pm and 2pm)

Get creative at our hedgehog themed craft workshops. Session lasts 60 minutes and includes refreshments/biscuit.

Thursday 20th February - Monster Plants Make and Take Workshops (10am, 12pm and 2pm)

Learn all about awesome carnivorous plants! Decorate a pot and choose from a selection of 'monster plants' to take home. Session lasts 60 minutes and includes refreshments/biscuit.

Friday 21st February - Our Amazing Animal World (10am, 11am, 12pm and 1pm)

Meet and greet with a selection of rescued animals, talk and animal tattoo. Session lasts 45 minutes. 

Tickets for all of the above cost £6.50 and admit 1 child/1 adult. Early booking is recommended!

Please note: Children must be accompanied and supervised by an adult at all times. Additional adults are welcome to attend but will be charged an additional £2 per adult. Booking is essential and places are limited!
