Are you reliable, hardworking, and passionate about maintaining high standards behind the scenes? We’re looking for a dedicated Kitchen Assistant to support our busy kitchen team at the popular Mill Restaurant in Gravesend.

This is a vital role that helps ensure our kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently, contributing to the delivery of fresh, high-quality food and a great customer experience.

Your Role Will Include:

  • Assisting in the preparation of fresh food and bakery items
  • Keeping all kitchen and back-of-house areas clean, tidy, and hygienic
  • Operating dishwashing equipment to clean crockery, cutlery, and utensils
  • Supporting the Chef and Catering Manager in delivering a smooth and efficient service
  • Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety, Environmental Health, and Trading Standards regulations
  • Reporting any equipment faults or maintenance issues promptly
  • Working collaboratively with the wider team to ensure the success of the restaurant
  • Providing excellent customer service when required

Hours and Days

16.5hours (week)

  • Saturday: 08:00 - 1700 (30 minute Break) 
  • Sunday: 08:00 - 16:30 (30 minute Break)
